Industry Partners
Southern graduates are working in graphic design studios, media outlets, and film positions at various locations throughout the country (including California, Washington, Florida, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Georgia).
A high percentage of our students secure jobs, and the “cross-media” emphasis at the art school gives them an edge. Yet, the communications industry is highly competitive and students must be prepared to work hard.
Students are required to serve actual “on-the-job” internships for credit and experience during their course of study. Numerous industry partners have cooperated in this endeavor. These “real world” connections are invaluable opportunities, and in some cases have led to employment. Some of the participating companies have included Genesis Design, Justinien Creative Group, and MCMD Design, in the West as well as TruBlue Design, DDN Advertising, College Press, Life Care Centers of America, Atlanta Magazine, and Florida Hospital in the Southern region.
