Kenneth Willes

Assistant Professor of Interactive Media and Graphic Design

Interactive technology has caused a change in the way we function, communicate, and collaborate. From websites to video games, there is a demand for artists that can design for these interactive mediums. Ken Willes has a love for interactive art and education. He brings his relevant skills and knowledge to students interested in creating interactive solutions for this new and exciting field.

He graduated from Southern Adventist University in 2002 with a bachelor’s in graphic design. After Southern, he went directly to Savannah College of Art and Design to complete his master’s in interactive design and game development.

During his graduate studies he worked for Gulfstream and Savana College of Art and Design (SCAD). At Gulfstream he created interactive learning simulations, and at SCAD, he developed an e-learning search engine and web crawler. By the end of 2004, he finished graduate studies and started teaching at Southern Adventist University.

In Willes’s time outside of work, he plays with his dog, mountain bikes, plays racquet ball and tennis, creates music, and enjoys spending time with his wife, Allison.
