Welcome!
The School of Visual Art and Design at Southern Adventist University is developing a full length animated feature on the life of Jesus using computer generated imagery. You are invited to watch our progress.
We have produced a 90 second scene of the baptism which you can view. It is meant to be a proof-of-concept for what the final project can look like. A second sequence, depicting the wilderness temptations, is being prepared for production and can be viewed in storyboard form along with some of the concept art.
Quality animation is an extremely slow and demanding collaborative process, but the end result is equally rewarding. With the potential to impress the mind with images and stories, animation can have a lasting influence for good. We believe there is no story quite as powerful as when God became a Man to save fallen humanity.
Our goal is to complete the production by 2010. The effort is being led by Hendel Butoy (Walt Disney animator/director from 1979-2003) with volunteer help from animation students, graduates, and instructors at SAU. The production would need funding if it were to be completed by the target date. If you would like more information please contact us.
After exploring the site we would invite you to let us know what you think by giving us your rating, especially if you feel we are doing something worthwhile.
